I'm Back!

I am glad to be back in my cozy little apartment with Rambo. I missed him, sort of. I think it's good sometimes for couples to be seperated sometimes. At least for me. This weekend, I realized how lucky I was to have somebody like him. At times we take each other for granted, but this month I am making a new goal of mine to show him in little ways how much he means to me.

My trip was good except for my dad's babys mama drama. All I had to say about that was, seriously? My dad and I had a nice time after our heated discussion and I finally feel like we're ready to turn a new leaf and leave the past in the past for now. I really hope it works out between us as well and my dad keeps his word. I also had a fun time bonding with his fiance, she's a nice lady. My dad also gave me 25 for gas which I used on the way home. Speaking of money for gas, how did I do on my trip budget?

I CAME UNDER!!!!!

Woohoo! Out of my planned 75, I only spent 69 of it which makes me so proud! I could have kept it cheaper, but I splurged on some Jack N A Box on the way there and some coffee this morning. It was great though and I'm really happy with my spending over all.

July 3rd Spending
Hair Appointment 59.00
Jack N A Box 6.26

July 4th
Ice Tea 1.08
Kiwi Strawberry Drink 1.94
Chow Mein 3.33
Photobooth Photos 3.00
Headbands 4.31

July 5th
Starbucks 9.42 ( was reimbursed 5.00 back)
Target 29.81 ( bought some things w/ a family discount)
Dillards 6.45 ( Lucky Brand Necklace on super clearnce)
Gas + Ice Tea 22.33

Woo. I am kind of tuckered out so I shall be turning in now. But I hope everybody had a nice weekend and stuck to their spending goals! I sure am glad I did and now even more so proud. :)

baby mama drama, no one should have to put up with that from their dad! I find it weird to see my mom dating in her 50's, you never think you'll be giving your mom relationship advice. I hope you are able to reach some peace and acceptance in your relationship with your father. Mr M is estranged from his mom because she did many terrible things to him. It's sad they have zero relationship at this point.

I agree with Miss M, "my dad's baby mama drama" is a sentence no one should ever have to say. Hopefully things get better with your relationship with your dad.

And don't you love when you come in under budget, even with a little splurge or two in there?? Great!

Distance makes the heart grow fonder. Everytime I leave for a day or two, I come home missing my husband. Maybe I should make that a routine!

I think "dad's baby mama drama" warrants at least a little Jack in the Box & Coffee to help you through.

Thanks for swinging by my blog, I'll be following you from now on and catching up on your journey! Congrats on coming in under budget!

Miss M- Thanks for the encouragment about my relationship w/ my dad. It's hard sometimes to find acceptance, but I'm working on it.

Ashley- My dads baby mama drama is something no one should say. ugh! hopefully that will be cleared up sooner than later.

Hustler- I'm thinking about making it a routine. But for now, I just want to shower him w/ kisses! Too bad he's passed out from work. :(

Net Worth- Thanks for the positive feedback! I hope to catch up and follow you on your journey as well!
